Why is it important to manage my glucose?

In our busy modern lives, it isn’t always possible to eat freshly prepared, healthy meals. If you don’t have time to plan a balanced diet or tend to fall back on processed foods with hidden sugar, your body may be unable to maintain an optimal blood sugar level. Uncontrolled blood sugar levels can lead to serious negative effects.

The best thing you can do to manage your blood sugar levels is to eat a healthy diet with plenty of vegetables, protein, and fiber, and to exercise regularly. Taking Control: Glucose every day with your largest meal will help you to lower the blood glucose spikes (and subsequent lows) that are triggered by high-carbohydrate meals and drinks.

Control: Glucose Benefits

Taking Control: Glucose will help you avoid sugar highs and lows, improving your energy and mood throughout the day. Our formula is specifically targeted to deliver the following short-term benefits:

  • Well-Regulated Blood Sugar Levels

By slowing down sugar absorption, Control: Glucose naturally helps your body fend off sugar highs and lows. This gives you more control over keeping your blood sugar. By maintaining a healthy blood sugar range, you can stay energized throughout the day, avoiding the jittery highs and sluggish lows associated with unstable blood sugar.

  • Slower Blood Sugar Metabolism

Control: Glucose works quickly to slow the digestion of carbs, reducing the amount of sugar that is absorbed into your bloodstream. This effectively flattens the spike in blood glucose that occurs after you consume a high-carb meal and reduces the peaks and valleys that typically lead to us feeling full of energy or tired and fatigued at different points in the day.

  • Reduced Appetite

Control: Glucose works immediately to balance your blood sugar, so you’re less likely to experience cravings and binge on snacks. When your urge to eat is reduced, it’s easier to lose weight more quickly.

Long-Term Benefits

Managing your blood glucose levels long-term can help support healthy blood sugar and carbohydrate metabolism.  Keeping your blood sugar levels within the normal range also helps  support normal glycemic responses—that is, your body’s natural temporary increase in blood glucose and insulin after a high-carb meal.

  • Increased Insulin Sensitivity

Over time, chromium increases insulin efficiency in transporting blood sugar from blood into cells. This helps maintain normal levels of blood sugar and reduce peaks and valleys throughout the day.

  • Healthy Hemoglobin A1C Levels

The two key ingredients of Control: Glucose—chromium and Salacia–work in tandem to maintain blood sugar levels, and ultimately hemoglobin A1C  levels. The higher your A1C level, the greater your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. A recently published study found that Salacia significantly improved several blood glucose related parameters, including A1C, and glucose tolerance after a carbohydrate challenge when taken daily for up to 12 weeks (Kobayashi et al., 2021).

What are the dangers of High blood sugar levels?

High blood sugar (called hyperglycemia) is when your blood sugar goes above 180 mg/dL, measured 2 hours after the start of a meal. This occurs when you eat more than you planned.

In the long term, high blood sugar levels can lead to very serious diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, and organ damage.

Symptoms of high blood sugar include:

  • Low energy, fatigue, feeling tired

  • Blurred vision

  • Headaches

  • Increased urination

  • Increased thirst

What are the dangers of LOW blood sugar levels?

Low blood sugar (called hypoglycemia) is when your blood sugar levels dip below 70 mg/dL. This can occur when you eat too much sugar and carbs. Your body over responds to this influx of sugar by overproducing insulin, which then causes your sugar levels to plummet.

Symptoms of low blood sugar include:

  • Excess Hunger

  • Dizziness

  • Low Energy

  • Nervousness or Anxiety

  • Sweating or Shaking

Extra-low blood sugar can be very dangerous and could lead to unconsciousness and even coma.  It should be treated as soon as possible by eating sugar or fruit juices. You can avoid low blood sugar by maintaining balanced glucose levels.
